Pittsburgh Works: USSteel Clairton Works
The "Deer Hunter" made Clairton PA famous and the Clairton Works of U.S.Steel is an iconic steel plant in the Pittsburgh area. This work attempts to dramatize the Clairton Works Quenching Towers that are part of the process of hardening the molten steel. When the steel is quenched an enormous plume of white smoke exits these towers. It is a very impressive sight to see.
