Vaughn Clay, a painter/drawer who works in the genre of Political Satire and Social Commentary through a body of work he calls, "Gasoline Dreams Series". This series chronicles American cultural/political dreams and delusions with America's preoccupation with cars, motorcycles, gas stations, road culture, and the expansion of contemporary urban society created in the late 20th century and into the new century. Some of his works investigate middle east wars that have been connected with world oil/gasoline politics. Clay interprets his imagery through his personal affinity with surrealist and pop imagery. Many works are large in scale as seen in the work on the home page entitled "Gasoline Dreams Series: Neon Nights" (dimensions 9 ft. wide x 6 ft in height.) Be sure to see all his works.
